Something I eventually want to own.
It was a bit tight when I sat in it, but I eventually adjusted the seats and everything to where I was really, really comfy. And everything was the perfect distance away.
Add it to the list of "cars I at least want to test drive, maybe own"

If you wanna spend FRS money get this machine instead the Roush RS V6.
![]() 08/10/2014 at 00:22 |

Test drive it and you will realize the clutch is terrible. No feel to it and extremely light
![]() 08/10/2014 at 00:23 |

Really? That's disappointing.
![]() 08/10/2014 at 00:24 |

You're telling a Chevy man to buy a MUSTANG?
![]() 08/10/2014 at 00:25 |

Yea id rate it as one of the worst clutches i have ever driven. My 99 escort 5spd had a better clutch than that

Yes. Now do it.
Cause you know you love this ass

600+ more pounds? No thanks.

150 more HP? yes.
![]() 08/10/2014 at 00:38 |

I'll take the nimbleness. But base 5.0? Sure, I'll take that. Yes, you can get a base 5.0 for the inflated price of an FRS.
![]() 08/10/2014 at 00:39 |
|
I know but the RS V6 get the Fuel Eco and the Power. and the 5.0 is always better
![]() 08/10/2014 at 00:40 |

Since 14 mpg would be an improvement for me, a 5.0 would feel like a Prius. Until I had to replace the tires.

5.0L or nothing unless a 4.0L with a Turbo making 400HP (Seen one in person)

The first "fast" car I drove was a 4.6 in the body style of your 4.0. I'd take a 4.6 if I found one for a decent price. It had a decent amount of punch to it.
![]() 08/10/2014 at 01:09 |

Ya the 4.6L S197 is quick but a une and bolt on on a '11-14 3.7L and its faster.

But...
![]() 08/10/2014 at 01:18 |
|
Sounds like an AMG
![]() 08/10/2014 at 01:20 |
|
It sounds better than a 3.7.
![]() 08/10/2014 at 01:22 |

Sound dont mean shit when your getting passed by V6 or a Chevy SS
![]() 08/10/2014 at 01:24 |
|
If you are just cruising around and not racing anybody, sound is very important. Plus, the aftermarket for the 4.6 is a lot bigger than you are giving it credit for.
![]() 08/10/2014 at 01:27 |

Trust me I've been looking into it but the 3.7L is the better value in the long run, thought eh sound for the 4.6L 2V is amazing and the 4.6L DOHC engine = sex
![]() 08/10/2014 at 01:35 |

I know the 3.7 is probably a better engine in most ways, but no offense to you as you seem to actually be an enthusiast, the V6's carry a bit of a stigma. Most of the male owners (which seems to be few) are 16 year old's whose parents wouldn't let them get a V8, but act like it is in fact a V8. For instance, a 3.7 Mustang driver whose parents payed for it and all his plasti-dipped mods that I personally know:

-_- some people are just dumb....but ya I know the stigma of a V6 I lived with one till today thought I am heart broken over it.

A first car is your first sense of freedom and feeling slightly grown. It's like a friend and losing one sucks. Luckily my first car/suv is still in my driveway because it's basically worthless! It's the only generation of 4Runner that doesn't hold value and will not appreciate.
![]() 08/10/2014 at 01:45 |

wow hmmm
![]() 08/10/2014 at 01:47 |

Benefits of being poor, being stuck with your first car! Not that I would get rid of it if I wasn't, because it is worth more sentimentally than monetarily.
![]() 08/10/2014 at 01:48 |

Ya I cried today when I left it behind
![]() 08/10/2014 at 01:51 |

I cried a bit when I thought it was gone after it blew it's headgaskets a couple of years ago, because it cost about half as much as it was worth to fix it. Thank goodness for great (sometimes crazy) parents.

That thing MSRPs for $25,000?
![]() 08/10/2014 at 11:28 |
|
Also wondering if you meant new or used?
![]() 08/10/2014 at 11:30 |

I'm no stance-boy, but they do sit a little high for my taste, maybe 1.5" lower? The tires are a bit skinny, which also makes for an easier step out and being at the limit which is honestly fun, but some 225s or 245s would look pretty meaty in the back. I do need to test drive one of those.
![]() 08/10/2014 at 12:09 |
|
a used one yes there is a red one near my house for that
![]() 08/10/2014 at 16:30 |

So, it doesn't MSRP for $25,000?
![]() 08/10/2014 at 16:54 |

base model V6 does but Roush RS is the same price as a Pony Pkg

Curious question: Why do you think that people shopping around for a nimble sports coupe would want a heavy Mustang with the wrong engine?
Keep performance figures out, because they're entirely irrelevant on a day to day basis.
If you're after something that feels nimble, toss-able, is actually small, with performance that you can actually take advantage of on your commute to work, why muscle in this "BUT YOU CAN BUY A MUSTANG FOR THAT MONEY" comment?
Don't you think these people know that? They understand that you can get a depressing, rental grade V6 Mustang for a bit less than an FR-S. Everyone understands that, and no one gains anything from suggesting that one should instead consider a V6 Mustang. Because most people shopping around for these cars don't care about a neutered pony car.
The V6 Mustang is nothing like a BRZ or an FR-S. Their driving characteristics are completely different.
I'm also doubtful that a Roush Mustang only costs $26,000.
EDIT: I was wrong. It's a $4,000 cosmetic package. Gross.
![]() 08/10/2014 at 18:43 |

I've driven both a FRS/BRZ and V6 stang and honestly the stang was more nibble people don't give it credit because it's a V6. And for 26k you can get a GT Coyote so for the price the GT is even better the FRS/BRZ is just under powered for the comp pricing.

The lack of comprehension is staggering.

I'm dead honest that a V6 stang is better then an FRS/BRZ. Also GT's are even better. so it goes like this frs/brz Also is the FR-S/BRZ is that good why don't they race them? They did with the FoST didn't do to well on road tracks but the FiST is an amazing rally car. Again, the lack of comprehension is astounding.
